HelloWorld represented Japan at the finals of “Global EdTech Startup Awards (GESA),” the world’s largest EdTech competition held in London from January 22nd to 25th.
A total of 24 companies from over 30 countries and regions competed in the final round, and among them HelloWorld presented its innovative EdTech Tool “WorldClassroom” for English learning and international exchange in schools.
Over two days, HelloWorld presented a pitch to a distinguished panel of 30 education experts. On the grand finale on January 25th, all competitors shared video presentations of their services to the general audience, followed by the award ceremony.
During the pitch, Betsy Corcoran, one of the judges and the visionary founder of “Edsurge,” an online platform known for providing top-tier education technology and news, spoke highly of the social commitment and impact of WorldClassroom through its international exchange.
The video presentations of all competitors and the award ceremony were held as part of “The BETT Show 2024”, an EdTech event that gathers over 30,000 visitors from 130 countries and saw the participation of 5000 companies. This global platform allowed HelloWorld to introduce WorldClassroom to a wide audience of influential figures in education, media, and investors from around the world.
In the future HelloWorld will continue to propel the expansion of WorldClassroom, to ensure that all students worldwide, not just in Japan, have seamless opportunities to connect with their global counterparts, by offering opportunities for meaningful and practical international exchanges.
